    Statement of Work

My work develops across a terrain of material elements and manipulations, visual and atmospheric renderings, and performative dispositions and texts. Seminal studies in textiles and contemporary mutable forms with found and reconfigured objects engendered my interest in the subject of materiality itself. Explorations regarding the essence of substantive form, its actualization, alteration, degradation, and dissolution are central to my creative practice.

The talismanic meanings of things and events in tandem with a broad study of materiality are key. These subjects remain for me the most apt poetic agent in relation to human and global conditions.

The work entitled Pelt / Rabbit, which I have submitted to the 9/11 Memorial Museum website, was generated through just such an exploration as well as in response to having witnessed the destruction of the World Trade Center towers. Included here are two images of the Pelt and one of the Rabbit drawing.
