    Statement of Work

The "Victory of Liberty" was painted by Vivian Puxian in 2001, after the artist volunteered at the Ground Zero with the Salvation Army. It's an artistic view depicting how hope and liberty would emerge even from such a catastrophic event as 9/11/2001.

The painting was exhibited for several years at the Saint Paul's Chapel, since it was first given to the volunteers in 2001, and was also part of the exhibitions "Out of the Dust" and "Unwavering Spirit - Hope and Healing at Ground Zero".

The painting was then sent to the 9/11 memorial built on the new tower of the World Trade Center.

    * Vivian Puxian went to NYC for the first time in 2001. She had to fly there on September 11, 2001, but some circumstances delayed the trip. She went to New York to be an intern at the Solomon Guggenheim Museum.
