    Resume

Chris Hotham Carroll was born in Lewiston, ME on February 13, 1974. Coming from a family of artists, Chris was quick to pick up a paint brush, and her earliest memories are of painting, drawing and creating. A professional painter for over a decade, Chris Hotham Carroll’s work has been shown in galleries across the United States and is on display in private and corporate collections throughout the world.
Chris’s work offers fresh and often provocative perspectives on city life, nature, and the human condition. A pioneer of inventive mixed media techniques, Chris’s use of paper and fibers on canvas is both unconventional and captivating.
Her current body of work, ARTicles and ARTifacts converges life and art in a truly unique and powerful way. A Depressed New York, the first in the series, was very well received and even recently featured on FOX News, pictured below, before finding a permanent home in the Faulkner Collection.
The ARTicles and ARTifacts series is scheduled for upcoming exhibits in Miami and New York, and new cities will be added to the tour shortly.
Prior to her career as an artist, Chris was an accomplished martial artist, running her own dojo for over a decade. Chris is also an orchestra percussionist.
