My name is Rob, born on 26.01.1990

Since I can think, skyscrapers fascinate me and especially the skyscrapers in New York.
In the beginning, I was a fan of the Empire State Building.
In April 2001, my parents fulfilled my greatest wish to fly to the city of my dreams.
There I fell in love with the Twin Towers. The sheer size, the visit to the observation deck, all this was an experience that has shaped me forever as a child. At that time, I built the towers as a colorful model with the bricks I had at that time. Already at the age of 11 years, my dream was to build these buildings in Lego - in a size that suits them best.
Since December 2015 I am building with my best friend Thomas Kratz on my life's dream. Meanwhile, the towers have grown to over 4 meters (14 feet) and will become even higher in the future - integrating of over 16,000 windows.
We spend almost every free time we could get with this project. Searching the internet for everything that we could find, pictures and videos.
Our goal, to build a model that does justice to the original. Alone through the sheer size, every angle from far or near, makes this model recognizable to every person.
For us, this project is a lifelong dream and a tribute to the towers as they have shaped the skyline.

Meine Name ist Rob, geboren am 26.01.1990

Seit dem ich denken kann faszinieren mich Wolkenkratzer und speziell die Wolkenkratzer in NY.
Alles begann mit dem Empire State Building.
Im April 2001 erfüllten mir meine Eltern den größten Wunsch und zwar in die Stadt meiner Träume zu fliegen.
Dort verliebte ich mich direkt in die Zwillingstürme. Die schiere Größe, der Besuch auf der Aussichtsplattform war ein Erlebnis was mich als Kind für immer geprägt hat. Damals baute ich die Türme als buntes Modell,  mit 11 Jahren wuchs der Traum diese Gebäude in lego so gross zu bauen wie sie es verdient haben.
Seit Dezember 2015 baue ich mit meinem Besten Freund Thomas Kratz an meinem Lebenstraum. Mittlerweile sind die Türme auf über 4 Meter gewachsen und werden noch höher und bekommen über 16000 Fenster.
Wir verbringen fast jede freie Minute mit dem Projekt. Suchen im Internet nach allem
was man finden kann an Bildern und Videos,
um ein Modell zu bauen was dem Original gerecht wird. Allein die schiere Größe aus einer Ausstellung das man sie aus jeder Richtung von weitem sieht und erkennt was sie darstellen sollen.
Für mich ist dieses Projekt eine Lebenstraum und ein Andenken an die Türme wie sie einst die Skyline geprägt haben.
