Minutes after the 1st plane struck the North Tower, we had evacuated 140 West Street to the corner of Vesey and West St. We didn't yet know it was a plane attack. We stood frozen in place looking up at people desperate to be saved. The second plane flew overhead as the unimaginable began.... people 90 stories above us began to let go and fall to their death. We are COCOT of Verizon. We will never forget.
