    Statement of Work

My painting "Freedom", the spirit of America has many symbolic meanings.
The thirteen Van Gogh style stars symbolizes the thirteen original colonies United to form the United States.
The broiling waters of the Hudson River represents the restless spirit of America in our relentless pursuit to remain the best country on the planet.
The new World Trade Center reflects 911 from the Windows onto the Hudson. The only reflection in the water is an uninverted 911.
The bridge in the foreground symbolizes the rest of the world as it watches the response of America.
The Statue of Liberty, has several symbolism :
The lighter hand holding the torch represents our Caucasian race and Hispanic cultures
The headband painted in a feather like fashion represents our Native American culture.
The dark hand represents our African American heritage.
And of course our lady liberty, represents the men and women of America.
Sept 11 is depicted on the scroll she is holding.
This painting is dedicated to all of the victims of the 911 tragedy, and to all of the people of New York.
Your perseverance and dedication is the true essence of America.
