    EDUCATION

    Master of Arts in English, Creative Writing concentration, 1987, City College of CUNY. I experimented with literary forms, wrote a collection of stories as well as a novel, and took classes in knowledge theories as well as postmodern criticism.

     

    Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing concentration, 1980, University of South Alabama. Interested in scuba diving at the time, I studied marine biology at first before changing my major to creative writing, my natural inclination, I realized.

    2013 Certified Advanced Facilitator of University of Phoenix Online. 1984 Goodman Fund Grant sponsored by the City College of CUNY.
