Art Cart Activity
This activity explores the stories behind the names inscribed around the perimeter of the two pools and provides an opportunity to pay tribute to the victims. The names are arranged according to “meaningful adjacencies,” which highlight where victims were on 9/11 and relationships they shared in life with one another, as requested by victims’ families.

Select an adjacency below by clicking on the names and locate them on the Memorial using the map and letter/number combination. After locating the names, learn more about the adjacency by reading their story. Create a tissue-paper rose using the activity instructions and place your rose inside the names as a tribute to the victims.
