My artwork is usually centered around anthropomorphic characters that represent nostalgic places that were in my hometown, & related characters. I was born in 1989, & I'm very egalitarian in a more generally socially conservative town. I'm very interested in its great history, & the 9/11 museum & memorial, despite being 26 years old. I missed out on most of the nostalgia & pop culture, & I'm an eccentric artist in a more generally socially conservative town, So, my artwork & the alternate universe my characters inhabit are centered mostly around retro pop culture of the 1960's & 1970's time period, & are socially more broad minded & egalitarian. I eventually would like to make a series of short films about this, with some of them referring to 9/11 in their universe & ours. I also do the occasional 9/11 tribute artwork, honoring the survivors & heroes who resonated with & inspired me the most, & to honor the Twin Towers of The World Trade Center, as the iconic facets of history & nostalgia that they were. I never got to visit them, or see them in their glory in real life, just like I missed out on retro pop culture, so I appreciate them both all the more, along with their importance to our cultural history.
