    EDDIE LEE GROVES BIO

It was May 1st, 1962 in the little sleepy Ohio River Town of Augusta, Kentucky that Eddie Lee Groves came into this world. He was born at home of the then Augusta Jail, where his Parents and Grandfather lived at the time. Not as inmates, but as the jailers.

At a very early age Eddie showed an interest in music. The house was filled with the sounds of Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Wynn Stewart, and Merle Haggard. This laid the foundation for Eddie's love of hard edged Country Music.

When Eddie was about 12 years old, his Grandpa returned from "Court Days" in Mt. Sterling, KY with an old second-handed guitar. Everyday for hours on end Eddie would practice on that old guitar.

When Eddie graduated high school he formed his first band with some of his teenage friends. Any given night during the summer of 1980 you could find "The Good Ole Boys" performing a backyard concert at many a beer bash. After Good Ole Boys, Eddie went on to play in "Rebel Fire", "Nightshift", "Southwind", and "Winner".

In the spring of 1989, Eddie became a member of the Lexington, Ky area's popular band, "Uncle Lijah" ,as bassist. This group gave Eddie the chance to open up concerts for some of Country Music's hottest stars. Uncle Lijah was also the house band for the former very popular Winchester, KY nightclub, "The Dixiland Lounge". Eddie stayed with Uncle Lijah for almost three years as bassist, but he longed to get back to playing his guitar. So in 1992 he and bassist Jeff Perkins (Augusta, KY), and drummer Scott Marye (MT. Sterling,KY) formed Inside Out.

Inside Out has given Eddie the opportunity to tour all over the USA and Overseas. Originally formed as a three piece band, the group has grown to what it is today. Inside Out has also showcased Eddie's songwriting talents with the release of the bands CDs.

Recently Eddie's recording discography also includes releasing a few Solo projects. One is a projects that covers some great Classic Country Hits that Eddie wanted to cover. The other solo project is his latest release titled "LINING THE SMALL AMERICAN DREAM", and includes all original songs written by Eddie. Eddie's record company, CRS, has the project available on all the major download sites.

From his start with that old second-handed guitar to the lead guitarist of today's Inside Out Band and as a Solo Artist, Eddie Lee Groves has grown into a world class musician, songwriter, and performer. And it just keeps getting better.
