About the Photographer/Poet

Robert S. Vena, a resident of Monmouth County, NJ is a published Photojournalist and Poet. In the Newark Star Ledger, Mr. Vena's work was reviewed as "Poetic Black $ White Photography." For the past 30 years, Mr. Vena's work has been published in several tabloids, newspapers, and various other local, commercial and industrial publications, including a commercial product ad in the The Sunday New York Times Magazine.

A twenty year retrospective of Mr. Vena's work entitled "Out of the Dark" opened to a record crowd reception at the Elizabeth Anne Seton Memorial Gallery in New Brunswick, NJ and again at the Gallery of Fine arts in Matawan, NJ. new York City's Queensboro Community College has installed as part of their permanent collection one of Mr. Vena's submissions. mer Vena's photographs have been exhibited throughout "the Garden State" at arr shows, street fairs, fund raisers, public libraries, restaurants, private residences and professional offices. Most recently, Mr. Vena's work reached a new record in sales and recognition during a 30 year retrospective of his work at a local Bistro.

His poetry has been published in new Jersey Medicine Magazine. The Tea Council of the USA New York Newsletter, the Asbury Park Press, the Newark Star Ledger, Silver Wings Poetry Chap Book, the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, the American Lung Association of New jersey, the Jersey Journal, the Jersey City Reporter and the Coast Star Manasquan.
