    Statement of Work

Blaine originally visited New York in February 2001, capturing images of the Two Towers in its final year. He knew this would become his second home, thus beginning his journey that he was destined for in life. He will now be returning for the tenth time and the seventh anniversary of 911. Blaine lives and breaths this tragedy as this has become the platform that has changed the world. Every year he devotes his body, mind, and soul to September 11th. Blaine spends twenty four hours at Ground Zero, returning with a new and unique piece of work every year. While at Ground Zero he fasts and prays in honour of not only the heros, and the fallen but also the ones fortunate enough to have lived through this horrific event. Every year he is fortunate enough to reunite with old friends and share with new individuals that enter his path.
Blaines photographs are a documentation of the twin towers, the tragedy, the memorials and images not always visible to the human eye. His original paintings derive from the idea of Nations At War, created with the concept of weapon of war. Blaine plans to see the rebirth of Ground Zero through until the end. The goal will be to display and share his works in museums around the world. His personal goal is to help the helpless starting with his very own Nation.

    Resume

Robert Blaine Burns resides in Port Hardy, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. His ideas derive from God and is fortunate enough to have the tools to work with. Blaine waits patiently opening his senses for the next idea to come to him and then proceeds with determination. Blaine continues to build his collection of work displaying only the works he feels led to at Ground Zero. Blaines works consist of traditional and spiritual photography along with Ballistic Art, acrylic on canvas. His goal with spiritual photography is to bring awareness to the spiritual realm and what effect it has on society. The idea of Ballistic Art is an opportunity to embrace weapons of suffering for opportunities of hope and healing. There is an opportunity to bring awareness as well as balance for peace.
