    Statement of Work

The terrorist attack of 9/11 caused unbearable agony to the people of the United States of America and around the world. Three thousand (3000) innocent people of various races and creeds were murdered and a multitude of people were injured on that day. The group of poems, Ground Zero, is an attempt to describe to the world community, in graphic detail, the horror of the act and its senseless goal.

At the same time, the poems were written to honor the memory of those who lost their lives in the 9/11 disaster. The poems are also an attempt to ease the pain and suffering of the injured, survivors, family and friends, by offering them hope for the future, in that their suffering has not been in vain and that their loved ones did not die in vain (our country and allies are in a crusade to rid the world of terrorists and the untimely demise of loved ones inspired nations to spread love and peace, instead of pain).

    Resume

I was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 16, 1921. I was an accountant when I worked and I retired December 31, 1986. I am married and my wife Evelyn and I celebrated 60 years of marriage on March 2, 2012. We have two (2) children, our daughter Wendy, who is married to our son-in-law, Michael, and our son Dr. Allen, who is married to our daughter-in-law, Christine and we have three (3) grandchildren, namely Julia, Stephanie and Natalie.

The first poem I ever wrote was on May 22, 1992. After that I began writing poetry on a regular basis especially after my niece, Jana, wrote to me, and I quote, "Thanks for sharing your poems with me. I enjoyed both. You have a creative way of telling a story and allowing the reader to feel what you experience." Since then I have compiled a book of poems on many different subjects. The book contains approximately 100 poems.
